Default Cabriolet on track just as fast as your coupe

Im on a mission to do a sub 2 minute lap at Buttonwillow in the 13CW configuration. Here's my 1st time on the track, last lap of the day, and best time of 2:12.27. I didnt even feel like i was pushing hard really, and i eased up when i caught traffic. It really makes you want to go back.

The car is fast enough to do it, I just need to get better. What I learned is :
1. I can brake later & harder
2. Carry 10-15mph more through most of the track
3. I'll be faster on a dry day w/o traction control
4. Use more of the curbs
5. You gotta have confidence in your tools (tires, brakes, suspension)
6. Be patient till you get a good flying lap w/o traffic then make it count!

So I watched your video and your stated time of 2:12 seemed ambitious. I put your video side by side with one of mine and we seemed pretty neck and neck and then what, you jumped way ahead of me. It took me about three viewings to realize you were on the shorter coarse.

That being said, I don't see many places where there's 10-15 mph left on the table w/o a dust filled interior for a mistake. You seem a little lose around "Cotton Corners" and "Phil Hill". Be careful around "BusStop" as it's easy to run out of track with too much speed. I'd say four out of five dust clouds come from that section of track. You are going pretty darn fast for your first time, just don't let your Cajones outpace your skill or you'll be vacuuming Buttonwillow dust out of that car for years.

If I can pull a 2:0x on my bike, you can pull the same on the P...

Bus Stop / Truck Stop / Riverside / Phil Hil.. You can make up MUCH time there. You speed around Riverside was a little slow, maybe it was because of the traffic, but you should be able to be in the 90's or faster through there.

But, you did fine. I love BW. One of my favorite tracks.
