My wife says she misses the firmer ride of the 6GT3. Says even the Sport PASM on the GTS is too soft. Got the right lady!!!

I've been looking at 997.2 s for several month now. What i have been seeing is that a very clean low miles C2s is for sale around the low to mid $60Ks ( I'm sure you can negotiate several thousand off it). there are some in the mid $50ks with higher miles without a lot of options and there are some in the $70Ks with very low miles and heavily optioned. If your car is clean with no history i would think it is worth about $60K it you want to sell it yourself. Just my .02. Good luck with the sale it you go for it. I'm sure your dealer will have it for sale for $70K within a day of getting it

If you really love the 997, you're probably not going to like the 991 as much. If your car has PASM, you can get the TPC's Dynamic Suspension Control module and customize your suspension in 1 mode to the softer side - we'll call this Girlfriend mode in your case - and the other setting toward a more sport oriented setup. When she's with you, leave it in GF mode and when she's not, you'll still have the car you love - might find out you like it even better.

Also, what are you running for tire pressures. Seems like a lot of people here are running almost Max recommended pressures which are for a fully loaded car. If your car isn't fully loaded mist of the time, drop your pressures to around 32 front and 36 or 37 rear. If you're a few psi higher than this currently, it will make for quite a bit firmer ride.

Also, it's difficult for us to advise you here without a picture of both the car and the girlfriend.

Sell it to me for $55 before you trade it in... Truthfully, you should be able to get at least $60 with those low miles. What color/options does the car have?

haha this is why i love this community.

appreciate all the commentary... however i agree with gf that the 997 is a rough ride on san francisco city streets. it is also our only car so she has to drive it from time to time. given parking in my building is $400/month, i rather stay with 1 car.

car is basalt black / black interior, PDK, accident free car. only mod is SW by pass. ultimately, choice is mine, gf will learn to live with the 997 if i decide to keep it (i think i am, however need to take an extended drive in a 991 before deciding).
