I don't mind the exterior styling especially the Turbo or C4S but I don't like the interior one bit. I don't like the layout, architecture, or materials. Otherwise, I'd probably have a 996 Turbo instead of my 997.1 C2S.

In Japan they refer to the 996 as "Monster Eye".

Personally, I'd say that this has been some mighty fine trolling by OP. 97 posts and going strong... congrats!!! 
Not quite as good as that guy on the (Mustang? Vette? Acura?) forum that got about 8,000 replies when he claimed that he flushed the motor and crankcase interior with a garden hose, but gettin' there!
Thank you for that clarification. Assumed he meant Jackie Chan. Foo... was looking forward to a good martial arts bout with him and Para82.

Hate is a strong word. I had a beautiful 2000 996 Ocean blue /tan. I never liked the interior and sold it to fund another fun car purchase. When I decided to get back into the Pcar world ten years later, I started looking at 991's, then backed off for various reasons. Buying another 996 did cross my mind but I could afford to pay cash for a 997 sooooo.
If I was younger or had limited funds and wanted to get into the 991 world.....I would buy another. Its a good bang for the buck.

Quick trip to Pensacola FL to hold my new granddaughter. Today I saw a beauty of a 996 Turbo and a 996 Carrera. I thought about this thread and man I loved both cars. Either would have a space beside my 997 and 986.

The 996tt is what I originally had in mind to get, hence my screen name. I didn't mind the look of the lights at all, in fact its what separated them from the earlier and later model 911's. If I had the means, I would love to own a 996 to compliment my 997. Maybe some day. So, no, I do not hate the 996.
