Default auto transport recommendations?

Been lurking and learning for a while here, and like most new posters, have to start with how invaluable this place has been as I hunt for my first Porsche. Now that I've found it, I need to get it back home. Been researching shippers/brokers to be surprised that this will be the most stressful part of the process...numerous horror stories!!!

Searched the forums to find most of you will say go drive it home, but a California to Indiana drive isn't possible for me now. Anyone you care to recommend or warn against?

Thanks.

I had a great experience with Angels Moving Autos. Search this forum, there are a few good threads with recommendations. Good luck and post pics of your new ride...

Thank you for the feedback turbo3.6, I wish I could see your name!

We can get you an excellent rate on enclosed transport for that route right now! Eastbound is looking really good. Email us directly at sales@angelsmovingautos.com - the year, make and model, the pick up and delivery zip codes, and your name, we will email you back the rate!

Thank you,

Dina Gifford

Recently had '11 911s cab shipped enclosed by Hanover Transport. A perfect experience, highly recommend. Zero stress.
Had bad experience with another company on wife's x3. Got car ok with no issues but bad communication and missed delivery date committments.
Hanover was reasonable cost, quick shipping, great communication, and delivered exactly when forecast.
I have no affiliation with them, just happy customer.

I used Reliable and they were great. They are also contracted with by PCNA so you know they have great experience with p-cars.

I have used 1st base transport in the ohio area. 1st base is a broker and picks independent trucks for your job.

Hi Dina!
Thank you so much J.R. And yes, we are a sponsor. We have supported the forum for years now, and trust me when I tell you it is not cheap!

We need support too!

Horror stories happen every day in this business. I am the owner of Angels Moving Autos and have spent 8 of the past 13 years that I have been in the business building a proprietary software program for the sole purpose of documenting every carrier transaction we have. We have over 700 independent/owner enclosed carriers that are rated 5 star within our system. They are not employees of anyone, and they strive for excellence because they represent themselves. We can have your vehicle picked up within 7 days of the order being placed. Give us a call or email us!

I used Reliable for 2 separate transports of my 928 Spyder and they were excellent.

Thanks everyone for taking the time with suggestions. For some reason, I didn't get notifications of your posts, and just saw all your replies now. The whole shipping industry is so sketchy that more than a few bad reviews was cause for rejection.

Looked around other subforums last night and got hooked up with Intercity Lines. Was going to go with Reliable. But read about them on a trucker forum, and some drivers there say company isn't the same as it was. And they had some very dissatisfied customers. They were also most expensive. I'll definitely checkout Angel if I have to do this again.

Hopefully it will arrive in a week or two. Then I get to post pics!!!

Intercity is the best I have ever dealt with, and I have used quite a few. They are a little more expensive, but well worth it imho.
