New Fuchs Rims
#31
Really hoping someone tries the Rotiform (this exact style) on a 997.... As it's never been done. I like the thicker spoke look and to me looks a bit more more period correct IMO especially in this finish. The newer Fuchs in almost any maker they seem to miss the mark bit on the size and dimensions of the spokes themselves. The ones seen on the Singer cars I have to say look perfect...
You made the right call in the black vs the silver on your car... Congrats, I know it was a long decision for you and you made the right one in the black.
I was close to ordering these wheels Rotiforms (about 5k) but with no local dealer to see the wheel in finish in person, no pictures available of these on a 997 (as again never been done) and no way to get my hands on a wheel to again see the product held off for now. My goal is to have two looks for my car. An air cooled like tribute with some Fuch like style wheels + Ghetty duck and my current completed car which is a Aero/Champion theme modded car.

Otto Fuchs_ Right now they are €999 for rears and €949 for each front. But you can immediately subtract the 19% Mehrvertsteur or VAT from the price and then do the exchange to US$. add some (modest) fee for UPS air shipment--2 days! All told, you are better off going through their own website than the USA dealer in California.
I agree. Go direct to Otto Fuchs DE. FYI- recently got a quote for 18" for my 993 from the USA guys and if I move forward on the 993, I will go direct to Fuchs as I did over two years ago for the 19" on my 997. You may remember that there was a nebulous 993 group buy that I and others believe was not a better deal than my and other individual direct purchase. Wired money to Fuchs and arrived in three days by UPS from Germany.

Fuchs are not period correct for 997 but they sure do look sweet and really complement the flowing line of the car well. I know PAG has reintroduced the 'modernized' 20 in Fuchs for 991, and they are kinda cool, but to my eye, they are missing the deep polished lip that, to me, defines the Fuch look.

Avant Garde Ruger Classics - these are good quality cast wheels made in Taiwan. AG has quite good quality control, and for me these are exclusively street use wheels/tires. (I don't track this car anymore - it's too damn pretty haha). These AG's have a clean polished lip as opposed to a ridged lip seen on the other common Fuchs 19 rep or PAG Sport Classics (see OP's post) ... little cleaner look to my eye. FYI I do understand that AG no longer makes this model wheel, however, but there may well be new sets of these still floating out there in retailer's stocks.

interesting look - i haven't yet until now seen a 997 ducktail on a c4s with its oem cross cutting thin reflector/light stripe...on a white car too...pretty distinctive...and contrasting dark lower diffuser panel too...you've been busy at work stylin' the car hahaha

Wheel Dynamics and AG are very decent street use solutions where the strength and weight of a true forged wheel are not necessary. I haven't owned WD wheels myself but they seem to have a good reputation for quality and value.
