And don't forget to actually install the spacers before you put the wheels back on. The longer bolts will cause problems. This happened to a friend and it not fun.

As you saw, the set I put on while you were here were Carrera IVs just like yours and they work fine without a lip on the front with a 7mm spacer.

Email me a pic of what you got and of your wheels when you get them back. I can't wait to see how they turned out.
Thanks! I seem to recall you mentioning your spacers were RSS. I almost went with those from Sharkwerks though these from FVD were a tad cheaper and had another reference on kudos from FVD. I'll be sure to let you know how this turns out and send pics.

Robbie did actually start on the wheels today and they emailed me a few pics and they look pretty fantastic. They will definitely pop against the black.

I would've gone with the hub-centric spacers that have the mounting flange. These are hard to find in the thinner sizes - RUF offers them and so does Adaptec Speedware but those are the only 2 I'm familiar with. Go get the proper length tapered screws in stainless that mount the spacer and rotor to the hub so that they're easy to remove next time you need to change rotors. They'll need to be longer since they'll be going through both the spacer and the rotor.

To get the fronts mounted properly without a hub lip on the spacers you'll need to keep the wheel in the air and carefully fully torque each bolt before lowering. Have someone stand on the brake pedal to keep the wheel from turning.

Get rid of the wheel lock.
20 new longer bolts.
Just say no to air guns.
Hand thread only, maybe a battery cordless?
Soft sockets to not mare your new bolts.
Torque wrench to spec.

I'm pretty sure I don't need spacers with my new (used) Champions. Very happy with the fit.

I ended up with 7 in the front and 15 in the rear. I still need to lower it which will be a project this summer. Also what you see here is the Carrera IVs were refinished from OEM black to a Chrome Shadow effect to break up the too much black thing and murdered look. Overall, I'm very pleased and can tell a difference from the stock stance and the wheels definitely look nicer.

Default for the record books

- oem height pasm on my c2s narrow body.
- rear 19x11 +51 wide body (equivalent to oem narrow body +67 with 16mm spacer)
- front 19x8 +42 (oem narrow body +57 with 15mm adaptec spacer)
- oem turbo II wheels

fronts 235/rear 305

I'm happy with the fact that both front/back look flush... though i wasn't thinking and should have bought the black spacer/lug bolt combo DOH!!!

don't forget to apply anti seize!

That chrome shadow choice is a great improvement. It the last few years so many seem to choose to go all black but I think this look is much better. Your spacer choice will set them on the car just right. Tasteful choices!

Zip lock, label and hide the old short bolts. To avoid later confusion.

Thanks SR! I think this will hold me over until I can justify getting some Turbo IIs like Mike (myw).

I have to give credit to Iceter, he is local and has his Carrera IVs done in chrome shadow and seeing those really sold me on the refinishing. They do grow on you, and they look much classier and cleaner than the black on black.
