I just pursched a 2008 carrera s and after getting ship home i notice nothing on the main screen works phone/ radio controls and none of the menu will work (audio,sound,tel,email,info,temp,nam any thing I should check
Radio is stuck on one station. Any suggestions

 

try pressing 1-4-8 at the same time to do a soft reset of the radio. The screen will fritz and the unit will turn off after the reset.

 

Also check the fuse in the driver's foot area

 

Thanks tried that got nothing the radio is on stuck on same station Screen shows station but nothing else

 

Fuses seem good Power is on Radio works and stuck on 1 station nothing else works

 

Have the steering controls working but can not get any buttons to work below the screen

 

Try removing relevant fuse for PCM with ignition off, wait a minute then replace and try again ???
There may be a fuse behind the module only accessed by removing it unf.

 

Did you have a PPI done on the car to see if anything was wrong?

Seems like a small electrical issue which shouldn't be too hard to fix! Best of luck!

 

My Range Rover (MOST system) does this once a year. I remove all fuses even remotely associated with the radio or nav. Replace and it works. IIRC there are 4 fuses total.

 

Do you have the Bose package?

 

I occasionally get stereo gremlins where nothing comes out of it, but restarting the car always clears it (?)

 

easier to just disconnect battery for a few mins.... One screw.

 

set the volume to 0, get gundo hack + high flow cats, open the window...
