Default Quick connect coolant hoses

I just pipecked up a set of hoses from the dealer. When I took the old hoses off and compared them to the new hoses, they were different. My old ones were the quick connect and the recent ones from the dealer were not quick connect. Does it matter? I know it is definitely easier with the quick connect. I think the dealer said they don't have that kind of hose any more. Any one recently bought the quick connect hoses?

Quick connect? My '06 C2 had the same hoses as the ones in your first picture (the lower hose in the picture).

I installed the center radiator kit last spring and got the same hoses as well. I thought all the hoses used retaining clips to hold them in place.

I did too. I may have to go back to my porsche dealer and ask them why they gave me the non quick-connect hoses?

Are you sure the part numbers are correct? The PET diagrams show non-quick disconnects for 997.105.626.05 "water hose return line" used on the hose connecting directly to the front right radiator. That's the new hose in the bottom picture. The clamps for that hose are called out separately as 997.106.902.00.

There are other coolant hoses in the PET diagrams that look like they have quick disconnects. I'd verify the parts list for your project first.

There are two types of hoses on the 997.1: the quick connect/disconnect and the regular ones with a hose clamp.

Why replacing hoses? German hoses last a very long time. I have seen 20 yo hoses looking like new.

Yes, I am working on a project. I'll have to take the hoses back to circle porsche and get the quick connect ones. I followed the PET and ordered from the part number on the PET. But it didn't show any picks. Thanks all. I am almost finished with the cooling and radiators. Just waiting on the driver sided rad pod to arrive. Have to do brakes on the Cayenne this week. Ordered from ECS with Pagid Pads.

My "quick" connect coolant hose is not being kind to me - the quick connect coolant hose in the engine bay driver's side won't seat properly which is not allowing the clip to engage. It needs to go in another 1/4 to 1/2 inch to fully seat, but I can't get it to go in any further. Anyone have any recommendations?

Solution: added a touch of lube and a few taps with a "instrument of encouragement" did the trick
