Default Best time to sell C4S?

Thinking about selling my 06 C4S and wondering if now.... Winter coming NE, Midwest, etc ... Is better than spring due to people wanting the awd?

Thx,

AWD helps for colder climates but summer tires would need to be swapped out too. My guess is spring is a better time to sell when the weather starts to warm up and people start thinking about buying a summer fun car.

It's kind of like selling a boat or a house - things die down in the late fall and pick back up in the spring. People do buy at the end of the season looking for deals, but more people buy at the start of the season and will pay a premium.

I agree...Spring seems to be a better time. Folks don't buy 997's as "snow cars" so I'm not sure AWD is that great a selling point.

The pool of buyers looking specifically for AWD on a 911 is very small. I think that such buyers are always looking so putting it on the market now vs Spring is not going to make much difference. For example, I live in Florida. I bought my car in Virginia in Summer but would have done so in Winter too.

Wait until Spring, you have to sell at a discount in the Winter. When people think of AWD, they don't think about 911's, they look for SUV's. Winter is the best time to buy a sports car and not the best time to sell. I've noticed prices usually jump 2-5K more in the Spring for the same car that doesn't sell in the Winter.

Not sure if waiting for Spring yields much of a difference and you might be missing the AWD buyer who is looking for C4 for winter driving.

A higher millage, patina-ed AWD will sell all year.
A low millage, garage queen, will garner premium dollars in the spring.

Spring/Summer is best for a sports car.

Maybe if you were selling a Subaru or an Xterra the winter would be better.
