Default Autozone / Advanced Rotors

Anyone purchase rotors and pads from one of these suppliers?

I have oem drilled rotors. Not the pccb calipers but the OEM red S calipers.

Rotors are $120 for 2 vs the $400 from dealer

Dont cheap out on safety related parts.

I am not saying you must pay double the price for Porsche branded parts but go with a specialized Porsche parts dealer such as Pelikan and get their non-branded oem equivalent stuff.

CF

It looks like Pelican has rotors for as low as $102 A rotor and suncoast has them for about $325 a pair.

I'd be fine with Zimmerman, or another OEM.
Machined china slugs? I'd stay away from.

AutohausAZ has front Sebro coated rotors for about $125 each and Brembo rotors for $145. Shipping may be free. I believe Sebro is the OEM supplier for the 997. Zimmerman is also OEM for some Porsche models also.

I have a friend running Sebros on the track with a 997 turbo and they seem to be equal to the Porsche ones.

I just received my Porsche rotors from suncoast; for my car the price difference is minimal and I have had good luck with the Porsche ones.

Here's another vote to stay away from the more generic rotors you'll likely find at AutoZone. If you are going with drilled I'd be concerned with cracking between the holes over time. I've been planning to go with coated rotors from Zimmerman or Sebro next time around. The coating helps reduce the rust and brown ooze that you can get after a wash. I used coated rotors on my last BMW and was vey pleased with the results.

Depends on the brand.

Centric is a decent one. Wearever/Duralast, I've used on other cars with success as well.

I've run Wearever semi-metallic pads and rotors on a turbo'd NA6 Miata with no problems for street/autocross use.
