What Causes Sharkwerks Bypass Vibration?

I'm considering getting the Sharkwerks bypass pipe for my 997.2 C4S because I just want a "bit more" sound. I'm seeing some people complain about vibrations especially while idling. Even Sharkwerks acknowledges that a "small percentage" of clients have this vibration problem. What is causing this vibration and how common is it?
Edit: It's not just Sharkwerks... all of the bypass pipes made cause vibration.

I just got the sharkwerks bypass + fister exhaust installed on my 997.2 C2S and I don't have any vibration. 6 speed manual. So +1 for it not occuring. Also I experienced Sharkwerks great customer service, so if there is any problem I'm sure they could help you resolve the problem or give you a refund.

Wow! The Sharkworks pipes is/was going to be my next modification but since my 992.2 C2 has PDK, I think that I'll hold off until I get more feedback from users who have theirs installed.
Anyone have the BB (Billy Boat) version installed and also have the vibration issue with their equipped PDK cars?

It occurs to me that most folks talk about a vibration, which I would characterize as a constant buzz feel. Mine is more like a rough idle, jiggles my butt a bit. As I said, I have no issue with it.

I have PDK and Sharkwerks. The vibration is there, but it is very minor. I truly didn't notice it until I read the entire Sharkwerks website a month or so after I installed the bypass. Once I read and then recognized it, the vibration was noticeable. But just that, noticeable. And only within 50 RPMs of the idle RPM set. Sharkwerks can adjust it out, but you have to send them the control module. I didn't bother.

90% of the vibration issues can be attributed to incorrect torquing of the bolts to the cats and inboard brace. Though I have a 6MT, I had issues on installation, retorqued the bolts and have had zero issues since (Apr 15).

Just for another data point, I have SW w/Fisters on .2 C4S (6MT) and all good!

I have the Sharkwerks bypass with PDK. A little vibration at idle but nothing I would categorize as annoying. Had some difficulties when I added an EVOMS tune and an IPD Plenum. The car would throw a CEL. The code was for a MAF sensor. Changed it out and still had had the CEL. After close to 2 weeks in and out of the dealership they finally contacted EVOMS and was told with the mods I have on the car and because it is a PDK the idle needs to be raised. Once they raised it, No CEL, no vibration. From what I was told It seems the CEL would was triggered as the PDK shifted into first gear, the car would lurch and the idle would drop and the MAF would see too much air for that specific rpm at idle.

you are cutting out the center muffler with a bypass pipe, thats what it is for. it reduces alittle of the center mufflers restriction to air flow, thats what its for.
So you are changing the air flow of the engine and in the 3.8 that is causing a little vibration.
The 997.2 PDK all have a little shutter/vibrations at idle and on take off. Its tolerated and explained away by porsche as a characteristic of the car. They also set their idle rpm to accommodate many perimeters , average driver comfort, general driveability, gas mileage, epa emissions, many reasons.
If you increase idle rpm a little, it smooths out alot of those shutters and vibrations.
Like above, I had a crossover exhaust and added a EVOMS ECU and we increased the idle untill it smoothed most of it out.
If you are not adjusting your idle i doubt if theres much remedy , its a characteristic of the 3.8 PDK when you put on a bypass

OK... Some of the latest posts mention vibration on their 3.8L engines. So does that mean that those of us who have a 997.2 with the 3.6L engine with PDK will NOT have this "Vibration"?
Also and within this topic, I asked if this problem also manifests itself on 997.2 cars with the BB (Billy Boat) cross pipes and PDK's. Anyone have any comment or cares to share experiences?
