Beautiful. Amazing how much a car's looks can improve with a different set of wheels.

Definitely, wheels makes a huge difference.

Thanks all for the compliments, these wheels are photogenic, when I took them, I was like wow myself. I actually like the previous wheels in person, the combination of the deep dish, rivets, and the 3 piece looks more special. These new wheels are simple, makes it more classy. My brakes are more visible. There seems to be an overwhelming vote for the new wheels. I'm still trying to get used to it.

nice look - much more modern wheel style

prior wheels were woefully overdone

these ag510 are 20's no? if so too much rim too little tire for serious driving imo

tough tradeoff with gt3's... good show or good go? fine line...

(i am assuming it is a real gt3, not a bumper retrofit job on a regular 997)

New wheels look perfect. I'm over black wheels. I have black wheels on my other car and they seem to lose appeal over time.

I have to disagree. The wheels are aftermarket as well as the spoiler and front nose. I suggest to go ahead and sell me the car so you can regroup and start again with a different car. Well, what do ya think ????

Hello?

Well . . . . lol great car, love it

Wing is from Vorsteiner, they no longer make products for the 997.

They are 19"s but does look bigger.

I could had purchased a GT3 when I brought my C4S. But since I don't track more than a handful of times a year, the stiff suspension and clutch just wouldn't work for me. I take my two little boys to school so needed the back seats. I wanted to drive this as much as possible so I ended up with a C4S with an aerokit. Not a fan of any 911's w/o an aerokit. Grew up watching Porsches race with their huge wings and my dad's friends coming over with the 993 turbos with the whale tails makes me think that a 911 looks incomplete w/o one.

I had thought about selling it many times but every time I look and drive it, I end up changing my mind. It would be my lost if I do, there's nothing out there at $50K that gives me the same type of enjoyment.

Again, I appreciate everyone's compliments.

Ynot, such an improvement - looks great!

I'm just not a fan of black wheels since all the detail gets lost in the dark wheelwells. Like the Vorsteiner rear bumper too -.same one we have on my wife's car, but she has the rear valence portion bodycolor. Interesting they don't make the 997 parts anymore.

I'm with you there, took me a long time to go with black wheels, always looks like spares to me, that's why mine had a white pinstripe to break it all up. My rear valence is actually carbon fiber, gives it a nice touch instead of all black. I am surprised Vorsteiner stopped making parts for the 997 and solely focused on the 991. The 997 is extremely popular in the used market.

Looks great - nice change. Same with me on black wheels - took me forever to get some Sport Classics; all that black! Variety - that's what it's all about.

To my eyes, the original set just has too much "bling" for my tastes. Your present set looks a lot classier.

All the best....
