I have a 2011 997.2 GTS with the OEM 19x11 and 19x8.5 wheels.

I would like to upgrade to a lighter wheel and want to understand compatibility.
I believe the GTS is the wide body setup like, e.g., GT2RS which takes 19x12 and 19x9 wheels.

The question is can I use those (19x12 and 19x9) wheels on the GTS? That would be great in that I could lighten the rotational (and unsprung) mass and at the same time increase the width/contact patch.

Specifically, as I see various wheels for sale on the forums, I need to understand specifically what will fit.

(Note that Tire Rack lists 20x12 wheels for the car, but no 19x12 although their choices are limited by what they sell - it is not a fitment guide generally).

Any other thoughts on the topic appreciated (i.e., reducing weight on the car, same class performance upgrades generally).

I have 19/12 and 19/9 wheels on my 2011 GTS. Perfect fit. If you order after market wheels, be sure to adjust the offset since you can't use spacers on CL wheels.

Do you remember what the offsets are?
Are there options? I.e., How do I know if CL wheels of that size will fit my vehicle (based on offset issues). For instance, say someone lists 19x12s from a GT3RS.

I use GT2/GT3RS wheels on mine, fit perfectly.

Current Forgeline offsets are 50 up front and 46 rear. Fronts are perfect but the rears could stand to be brought out another 2-3mm. Still way better than stock offset which is pretty weak on the GTS imo.
