Thanks for sharing the observations and settings. I've considered getting adjustments of my front alignment to see if I can get rid of the small amount of understeer I still have, but I've been concerned that I'd mess up what has been an overall pretty good setup. Are you planning on going back to a larger negative front camber for the understeer, maybe -1.5 or so?

This is a streetable track setup on a 2012 GTS. Realize the front camber is extreme since it has GT3 LCAs and shims to allow for that kind of camber. Max I think you can get in front is ~1.5 on OEM GTS LCAs.

Hope this helps.

NwGTS, how is your tire wear with that setup? Thanks.

"I've never really heard or seen the car from the outside though so the outside video was nice."

Sounds great!

Thanks for posting that. My car is very similar to yours (stock anyways) - it's really nice to see real world data!

Track wear on NT01s is perfect side to side. They need the front camber to avoid rolling the sidewall.

I haven't driven it on the street enough to tell whether or not i'm accelerating wear but common sense says my rears will wear unevenly on the outside and the fronts unevenly on the inside. Come spring I will most likely increase front camber to just less than -2mm and increase rear toe to between -.14 and -.17. Stiffening the rear sway a notch should keep the front from pushing as much with the increased front camber.

I have a base C2 and ran -1.1 on one side and -1 on the other with -1.8 in the back. I only wiped out the outside edge with my RS3's. After 4k miles the inner tread were good

I'm right around the max -1.5* in the front, and I need more for autocross.

Rears are around -1.75* on my hokey, but effective Reaction Engineering plumb and bob gauge. ... And I need more for autocross. What I do need less of, is toe-in on the rear tires. If I keep driving on this alignment, I'm going to kill my rear tires off quickly.

Car is pretty tailhappy on corner exit, and understeers on corner entry unless I really pin the nose down. I feel like I have too much bodyroll.

Suspension is otherwise stock. I really want some RSS front LCAs and toe arms in the back, and a pair of GT3 or Tarrett swaybars. That should do it for me.

Oh, and some 18x9/18x11 wheels. ... And BS RE71Rs.

She's not a track car, she's not a track car, she's not a track car, she's not a track car ...

I'm on PSS9s, other than that, everything is stock.

I also lowered the car, but didn't slam it. I think I'm at SPASM/P17 package ride height, maybe a little higher, actually.

I haven't measured the front or rear toe yet, I imagine I'm way off spec, just eyeballing the geometry changes when I lowered the car. I could also just be seeing things.

Had the car taken to Formula Motorsports last month, was hoping to test RF650 and Motul 8100 performance during the cold winter, but there the owner's son decided not to put in the fluids that I provided. Apparently he hadn't even heard of Endless...which is factory fill on cup cars.

Semi similar situation with Champion here in Florida when I first bought my .2 C2S from a local RLer a few years ago. It had 25 months or so left on the CPO so I thought I should establish a relationship at the dealer in case of future warranty needs. Brought it in for an oil service and brake fluid flush. I brought an unopened liter of SRF and asked if they had any issue with SRF or me supplying it. "No problem, we use it all the time". Great I thought. I was a little shocked when the bill came to $460+ but I wasn't going to be using them for this type of work in the future so chalked it up to "lesson learned" and went on my way. I did my first couple track weekends over the next two months in it. Braking wasn't what I had expected and was getting progressively worse with each session. I'd never had any heat related issues with SRF in any of my previous track cars so I thought maybe the brake lines had seen better days. Had my Indy replace them with braided steel lines which he did. He didn't know what the fluid was that drained out but knew it wasn't SRF!

PDK clutch fluid is another story for another day.

This is what happened in your case:
Tech you spoke to said he would fill it with SRF (and would have).
Different tech actually performed the flush and wasn't told to use SRF.
There is no comm. protocol at dealers for relaying these types of requests. So, it's on the tech to be sure it's communicated. And yours forgot.

I never saw the tech, I just spoke to the service advisor. It is a huge dealership so you're probably spot on about what happened. One expensive oil and fluid change though. Like to compare alignment notes further later. Thanks.
