would you get another PDK?
Not looking to start a discussion if 6sp or PDK is better, to each their own. What i am wanting is some input from people who went from a 6speed to PDK. Would your next Porsche be another PDK or would you go back to a 6speed? I've always been a manual guy and never saw myself buying a PDK but i know lots have said the same and now love the PDK. Anyone regret it? Again, i'm not looking to debate which is better, just if you have loved the change or not.

On my second one so that answers your question. I understand the opinion of those who say some interaction with the car is lost, but in manual, sport plus mode the PDK can be such a blast that the lost interaction of a manual is easy to forget imo. Besides, I like new technology and dislike fighting losing battles. I think the number is 10%. That's the percentage of 911's sold with manual tranny after the PDK was introduced. Guess what that number will be soon enough....

I drove manual Porsches for over thirty years, then bought a Boxster with a PDK for my wife. After about two years of having both a PDK and a manual side-by-side, we decided to replace my 911. We got a PDK.

Love PDK but would never own a Porsche PDK car with out a factory warranty. You can't fix a PDK issue...just complete replacement....that's upward of $17k.

I've had my 997.2 PDK for just over a month now. This is my DD that replaced my BMW with a manual. I still have a Viper with a 6 speed. The PDK is just fantastic. I would 100% buy another one. As a matter of fact, it's one of the best, if not the best, thing I love about my 911. Huge selling point for me.

I've driven at least a dozen PDK's and each time reaffirms my conviction that it's a fantastic marvel of engineering and the awesomest automatic transmission there is. I'd buy one in a heartbeat...in a luxury car. Not a 911. Five minutes in an automatic 911 and I want out and back into my stick. Flicking paddles with my fingertips just doesn't cut it compared to clutching and rowing.
