Default Thoughts on this 2012 C4 GTS

Hello All,

Previous 993 owner pondering a jump to this 2012 C4 GTS and wanted your thoughts/input on this vehicle:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...-/131614351413

PPI is scheduled and the car has been driven and inspected by non mechanic for body/paint issues. The owner is straight forward no BS guy which I appreciate. Any input, suggestions etc. is highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

I bought a '12 GTS cab from St Louis last November. Reid Vann did the PPI and did a great job. Good luck, the car looks to be in good shape. I suspect this will go in the low 70s.

Very nice looking. Love the Alcantara, however I would not buy it for three reasons.

1) You would be the 3'rd owner.
2) Miles are a bit too high
3) No PDK

These are my opinion.

My opinion:

1. Who cares.
2. Now I've seen it all where 23,000 miles on a 3 or 4 year old car is too high
3. Thank g-d. Manual is more fun (even if slightly slower than PDK all things being equal)

Car looks beautiful. Love the aero kit.

After doing a considerable amount of research my belief is it is priced too high. It is a C4 but seems high above $80,000. Am I off base?

It's definitely about 10k too high. A c2s same year would be around 63k or so. BUT, the question is DO YOU LOVE IT? Cuz I love the options they took. I've seen some ugly poorly optioned GTS, and I've seen good ones with taste. I like this one. I'd offer in the 70s buy it now and see what happens. low 80s you could buy a 997 gt3. (more used but who cares right?)

This is REALLY well optioned CLs aside. I'd say this car will go for $73-75 since it doesn't seem to be CPOd (factory warranty would expire in Dec at the latest).

Lol, seriously. 23k miles is really just the very beginning of its life. I plan to keep mine for the long run. I fully expect my car to run for hundreds of thousands of miles, over the next several decades. ;-) People who freak out about such things are just sad, IMO. These cars are happiest when driven, and hard.

To the OP, go for it. Looks like a solid car!

No PDK is a plus in my book.

Bad day? I won't pile on. Just wanted to say, hang in there, have a beer and get a good night's sleep.

A previous client has a 1999 red on black 996 cabriolet that he has owned since new. It has about three thousand (3,000) miles on it. What's the point? Perhaps it is some type of trophy, but I can't imagine a Porsche guy who could hold himself back and not drive the car more than that in the last 16 years or so
