Thoughts on ADV.1 wheels, a forum member has this set for sale, I think they would look sweet on my 997.2S Blue Cabriolet.
I just cant see spending near $4000. on just wheels since that is a least 10% of what I paid for the whole car a month ago.

I have heard good things about ADV.1 wheels. Those would look nice on your car, in my opinion.

I know Sharkwerks highly discourages 20" wheels. The difference between 18-19" sees them recommending 18-18.5" for reasons already listed PLUS the variety of aggressive R compound, extreme performance and autocross rubber available. They're cool with 19" wheels, but they point out the advantages of smaller ones. Also, I like the OP's rims. Push them out a bit with spacers and call it a day. The shiny stuff looks amatuer.

Sharkwerks makes a point to say the geometry of the suspension is affected enough to mean that the 20" wheels are not just a matter of feel, but they literally compromise the suspension's abilities.

You'll need to put the TPMS from your 19" wheels onto your 20" wheels

Please don't. Your OEM Carrera S II wheels are much, much nicer. They're made by renowned wheel specialists BBS, by the way. They're exclusive to the 997.2, though many have added them, retroactively, to older cars. They "cost" more than $2,000, new, and are overall of the highest quality available for cast wheels.

I'd keep them or else look into something of a higher quality like Forgeline or BBS (aftermarket) or HRE, if you must make a change. Your car would also look great in OEM forged Turbo II wheels. I had those in the past, and they're really nice. Add a bit more "shine" to the overall appearance, if that's what you're looking for, while remaining classy and OEM/appropriate. The Meteor Gray of the centers would complement your car's blue nicely.

OEM Turbo II wheels:

Btw, your existing wheels would look better with matching silver center caps. You can easily buy some and sell off the black caps you have now. Anyway, just a suggestion. Cheers.

EDIT: Just saw where you said you plan to refinish the S II wheels. I think they'd look great in black with a silver rim. And, you'd get to reuse your black OEM center caps.

Actually my OEM rear wheels are spaced right to the outside of the fender already and I just added 7mm spacers to the front wheels to make them look closer to the rear offset. I was wondering if I could have the WB wheels on this car some how? some how it ended up with the black center caps.

Most OEM wheel styles come in both WB and NB fitments, including the Turbo II wheel.

In general, I also appreciate a nice flush fitment, and I have run WB wheels on a NB car, which can result in a very nice fit. Many others here have done the same. I've also run NB wheels with spacers. If done well, with quality spacers and extended bolts, the result is equally nice. Basically, I've found that any 11" wide rear wheel, offset to about ET51-53, will fit a NB car nice and flush.

Best of luck to you. Again, IMHO, black S II wheels (your existing OEM wheels), with a brushed outer lip, would look great!
