Default Service Now light reset costs how much??

So I changed my oil but cant clear the "Service Now" light

2 local shops did not know how to clear it.

Called the local Porsche Dealer, they say clearing the light takes 45 minutes and cost $140.

WTF?????

Anyone know of a reasonable option here in the Rhode Island area??

Buy a proper Durametric. About $200-300.

It can pay for itself by avoiding one visit and it can do a plethora of other things.

I got mine at PelicanParts for $287 + free shipping and had it in two days.

Takes a few mins. I believe up to 05 all u need to do is reset in main module with durametric or a similar tool.

06+ you have to do the reset in main module and also pull out the cluster fuse to have it reset. 140$?!?!???!! Wow.

no cluster fuse pull necessary with durametric.

Wow I guess I am lucky...my dealer does it for free. My service guy just grabs the machine and does it himself. It took him 4 minutes last week to set it.

Confirming Quadcammer, no cluster fuse pull necessary with durametric.

A Porsche Indy might do it for free or maybe charge you $20. It takes less than five minutes and doesn't involve much more than plugging the Durametric into your car, cycling through the Menu and re-setting the indicator.

Don't forget that each time a unique car is plugged into the enthusiast version of the Durametric it uses up one of its three "lives"

Dealers in Canada charge $150 plus tax!
After a couple rectal exams at the dealer, I bought a Durametric Pro.

If you are a PCA member, check to see if someone local has a Durametric that can assist.
