I changed the engine air filter on my 2006 997S today, and as I lifted out the air box, I saw this random nut sitting on the metal shelf that is right below the air box.

Anyone know what the hell this thing screws on to?

Approximate size? Have you had your motor mounts replaced recently?

Motor mounts have not been replaced. Bolt hole looks to be 7 or 8mm. The flange is about 11/16" in diameter.
