That's what I see as well.

+1

I don't see how they could sound as good as normally aspirated cars. My current 997 TT certainly doesn't sound as good as my 996 C4S did.

Thanks. The BBQ grill concept put a smile on my face! It brings perspective.

Man, even the base Carrera is making around 370 BHP.

I'm sure 400 BHP is attainable with a simple ECU flash tune.

But how much will it weigh? I'm sure those 20" rims weigh a ton.

front looks great , rear looks off.

i think minor changes in the rear like going back to horizontal slats and making a single centre dual exhaust would clean that rear end up a lot.

i don't get the 2 single exhaust exists separated by a foot…. looks very unclean and awkward.

I'm guessing the 20" wheels can't weigh too much more if even anymore then the current 991.1 20" wheels.

the front sure does look nicely updated however.

The rear looks like they stuck a 991.1 body on top of another car's rear.

Great, now I can't un-see this.

It looks like a 911 mask being pulled off a lesser car.

As for the cars all getting turbos, I am for it. Why not? Faster, lighter, better on gas, and although I am not big on modding cars anymore, I'm sure that the fans of aftermarket engine mods will be pleased as doing any engine mod on a n/a car is futile.

I wonder what Porsche has in mind for for the actual 911 Turbo... Will that be the only "wide body" available with some outrageous engine making 650 bhp? or will the Turbo just be discontinued after the 991?

We shall see.

Based on the article...

"...and a new all-black rear air intake with longitudinal rather than horizontal slats. The red Carrera S we’re riding in wears only minimal camouflage: two strips of body-color tape at one end, two faux transparent taillight covers at the other. Most passersby will just see another 911."

It looks like the ugly grill is for real, there is only minimal disguise here.

Yes, something is just off about that rear bumper, like a body kit gone wrong or something. Grill is horrible. Exhausts need to decide whether they are separate or together. Sigh.

And if you really want to 'Inception' this, a BMW i8 looks like it's pooping out a 991.

So a random car within a 991 within an i8.

Haha. Yeah, This is quite true. The uglier the new models get, the more valuable our clean 997's become.

OMG, you have very acute perception. Or did you photoshop this? It does indeed look like a 991 is squeezed inside that i8.

EDIT: you didn't photoshop. I just Googled an image of the i8 and that is a true depiction of the rear. Uncanny. Not to mention it is a disgusting looking car.
