Ed Mullinex at Mullinex motor sports in Dallas is great. I bought a 997 in January and he replaced my IMS (LN pro IMS) and clutch. Does great work.

I'm sure that you meant an LN retrofit IMS bearing. You probably know that MY05 cars are a bit of mystery regarding the IMS bearing. Some are replaceable, some are not.
I posted the 80ba code on Renntech.com and was replied to almost immediately by the staff confirming that Airbag triggering unit (mainly referred to the airbag module) was faulty and usually requires replacement. I ordered a used airbag module through ebay, procured it this evening, and replaced it. After clearing the codes with the Durametric software all is testing ok and the light is gone! The used airbag module was $94.00 with shipping. Quotes form independent dealers were around 1k. Took me about 2.5 hours just because I was being cautious. It would have taken me that time, the extra money and then some to get it repaired by the dealer or a shop.

Many thanks!

I remember contacting the seller about it. He kept saying the deal was gonna close for a while so I didn't bother after it kept getting put off.

The price was amazing, think it was 32 or 33 what we came up with. I ended up spending almost 20 more.

Love it... Love the DIY. Dealers are over the top anymore, but that is expected with a luxury good.

Peace
