"Way better" how, exactly? 10-20 more HP than my wife's 2011 Carrera S cab? A few more techie features? Zero ability to swing out the rear end vs. a 5-10% chance in the 997.2?

How about "a little better"?

Haha- if my time worth $8-12 an hour, I won't be driving a Porsche. As for appreciation assets, buy a house or a condo in Kaka'ako Honolulu Hawaii and you will never lose money. Heck my condo appreciate $200k over the last few years. Cars are for FUN and costly hobby, I never thought of buying cars as investment, speaking of investment "Netflix/Apple/Google has been very kind to me the last 5 years.

Cars can be an investment. But they've got to be the right car.

The Toyota 2000GT, for example. Relatively unloved until the last ~20-25 years or so.

Now they're fetching upwards of $850k at auction.

When I lived in Germany I would do that sort of thing routinely--but with a Porsche over there, it was more like breakfast in Stuttgart, and lunch in Switzerland!

You could do that with a Porsche.

Imagine my frustration as European when confronted with average travel speed on your shiny new continent...

Looks like a 3.0L turbo for the Carrera and Carrera S.

Here is my guess.

The turbo range will become "E-turbos" and will use electrification (either direct electric motor boost or through electric turbos) as part of the powertrain.

Not sure when, but that will be the differentiation of the range, not just the outright power. You heard it here first.

;-)
