But coming from a Supeformance 427 Cobra replica with unmuffled sidepipes, I am fine with it.

But not for every body.

All the best...
Nam Vet, I think that's awesome. My 997S will never sound as good as your GT3 though - no matter how good the exhaust.

Don't do it unless your car is for high RPM use on a track only - and then bring ear protection.

Carmichael's de-catted Honda description has me running far away lol.

My co-worker is a car enthusiast and friend - one of those people you can talk to about cars with for 2 hours straight - we were bull****ting in the office "bro you ever think about straight pipes?" Fabspeed video on youtube follows...both agreed it was badass. Sounds like it would be hell on a daily though.

You could join the local fire dept. Actually I don't think their trucks sound like that any more. Where you are if you drove it past the wrong person they might fear for their life, stand their ground and...you know how that goes. Ask yourself: do I feel warm and fuzzy when a Harley w straight pipes blasts past me? Think that x 3. Great idea? Not so much.

I don't know if 997.2's sound much different than 997.1's but i did a muffler delete on my car and its not that bad. i even get compliments and random people asking what kind of exhaust i have. I mean, it is definitely loud but i've definitely heard louder. I still have my cats. Just the side mufflers delete.

I don't know how to embed videos so you can click on the image below for an idea of how it sounds.

You'd still have a center muffler though, right?

Juan looks like u need to adjust the rear deck lid, seems a bit lopsided on left corner vs right? Maybe just the angle...

Para,
You've been talking about different cars and everything and some money must be burning a hole in your pocket. I think what you should do is go out and get you another 997.1 for about 30-35k and make it as raw as you want. That way, you can have a weekend car and do track time with it.

If I had some money burning a hole in my pocket, that's what I'd do.

Haven't considered that idea actually. If I were to track a 911 I would want to do it in a GT3 I think. Currently I track a Ford with a warranty - much less nervous this way.

This is my "I want muffler bypass pipes" go to solution once the customer realizes how loud and raw just having straight pipes is. It's a little more expensive, but the resonators and the U bend make a big difference in cutting out some of the noise.

No center muffler on the 997.1's. Just bypass pipes for the side mufflers like the ones you guys sell, but redirected to the center to fit the GT3 bumper.
