knight509 - I sincerely appreciate the offer...I will let you know...I may go up this weekend to look at car and hopefully purchase.

How long you lived in Barrington? I grew up behind Bell's apple orchard if you remember that...my grandparents owned it.

 

I grew-up in the "North Shore"...though technically we not true because the nearet beach was still 10 miles away.

 

Just read the thread I live in streamwood I can look at the car today If you still need someone to do so let me know I'm always up for looking at any Porsche

Car is over at Fischer Motors today doing a PPI. I am not sure how long they will have it; may have it tomorrow too given their backlog.

Appreciate the offer to look at the car. I may be able to drive up on Saturday to look (and purchase) car; if I can't it would be great to have you give me your opinion. I will keep you posted

 

No worries I am off on Fridays also so I will take a look at it just cause I like looking at cars lol I will pm you if I find anything questionable but Fischer should be able to find anything if there is something at all

 

OK Rennlisters - here is the current situation....

through a bit of detective work on Rennlist, took educated guess of Indy that may have worked on car in Rhode Island...bingo! Got a verbal history of car...summer/weekend car..Indy stored it for owner in winter...car in great shape.

Fischer Motors PPI completed...new tires, oil clean, no leaks of any kind, no over revs, no fault codes, interior great shape...BUT looks like rear bumper and driver door near handle were repainted. Needs a wheel alignment. Indy said it had never been in an accident, my thinking is that there probably were some parking lot dings or something. Also a bit of curb rash on front bumper.

Is the repaint a big deal? Should I ask for a couple thousand off the price?

 

Got the car! Just got home after 6 hour plus drive. Put 400+ miles on the car...sad that in one day (about 1/2500th of car's life) I put about 3-4% of the miles on it.

It drives great...family loves it.

Shout out to Jossue who stopped by the dealership to see the car and to personally welcome me into the 997 family
