Default 997 feeling sluggish today

Just as the title describes, took it out yesterday and again today just to make sure...feels a bit slow...similar to a forced induction car experiencing heat soak - as if i'm running low on horsepower.

Car has 73,900 miles. Last oil change at 70,600 miles. Last major service performed in 2012. Car has been running like a champ all it's life especially after the recent new waterpump.....

2005 997S launch edition, Daily driver, never tracked.

Any ideas?

Bad gas? Seal (hose/gasket) leak? In any case, have it checked because butt-dyno is not always reliable.

I think the issue is you're running a car in Florida, in June.

Check your intake temps if you can. It may very well be heatsoak. NA cars are less affected than FI cars by heatsoak, but a warm air charge will still diminish your power.

Did the OP modify the intake filter/airbox? That could do it.

My car will heat soak the intake tract when in traffic. I've seen intake temps north of 120*f on an 80*f day. Car definitely feels down on power once you move through a clog-up. Stock intake, too.

A few minutes, though, and everything cools down, intake temp drops to around 9-10* over ambient, and all is well again.

Para, you sure you're not just feeling it's down on power after driving your other car? I'm sure that's not it but I get that feeling when I've been driving other cars for a few days and go back to the 911.

Well that's just it the Mustang felt like a damn hypercar after I got out of the 911 - that's not normal - they usually feel fairly close in speed. Might be the high humidity we're getting from Houston.

Tip or Stick? Mine is stick and from time to time I would disconnect the battery for a few mins and the car would wake up a bit!

Mine had a very obvious sluggishness recently (and triggered check engine warning)... drove immediately to the the indy and found within seconds that it was a connector somewhere above the exhaust / muffler that wasn't plugged-in properly after the routine oil service)
