I am a nervous nelly that thinks my car will explode if I try a different oil. Then when I DO try a different oil, I post it all over the forums in hopes of getting validation.

You want the 0W20 for better startup flow. Dino oil. WalMart brand. Change every 20,000 miles. Change filter every other time. Flip the drain plug washer, since it crushes on only one side.

How about WD-40? It should lubricate well - no?

Can you flip the oil filter over and use it twice as well?

Coconut oil. Sure, it gets a little solid at temps below 70 degrees, but I find that the engine doesn't seem to mind.

Tastes good too!

And another bonus, it can be used as an adult lubricant. If you're into that sort of stuff.

Air filters you can flip, they are only dirty on one side. Oil filters you just rotate 180 degrees.

You can even remove the filters altogether from what I heard and drill a small hole in the oil pan. Fill regularly with the cheapest oil available and let it run straight through taking all the particles with it.

To save time and effort you can actually put the oil in the window washer fluid reservoir and shortcut that directly to the oil filler tube. Easy to fill up with a dab on the wiper control.
