Silicone wiper blade material works so much better than regular rubber or coated rubber. Buy some silicone blades from Sil-blade or Sil-blades from Amazon in the correct length and swap the wiper material itself into the factory blades. Smooth & quiet with great wiping performance.

Another source for wiper inserts for your 997.2 is your VW or Audi dealer. The part number is the same for either one--it's 895 955 429-A. As I recall the Audi dealer charges @12 for each insert, the VW dealer $10. It is a stock item

I do the Bosch ones for my 997 and my X5. I believe they were about 40 bucks.
I have a pile of costco one's in the corner of my work bench. They work fine on my Suburban. Too bulky on my 997. The curvy passenger one works great, Bosch/porsche part number.

I am so confused as to which wiper blades actually match the OEM exactly with the extra curve on the passenger's side blade. Most of the blades seem to be generic and won't fit properly. Even the ones that say OEM are Bosch, but does that merely mean they are from the OEM manufacturer, or are the definitively the exact replication of the OEM fit for the 997 windshield? If anyone has purchased any of these and can definitively confirm that they are an exact replication of the fit of the factory equipped version that would be most helpful. The links with 20 choices are unfortunately not helpful.

Reread this thread:
Bosch has a part number they supply to many companies including Porsche. That part number is: 3397001582

Porsche takes that part number and applies their own. That part number is: 996 628 901 08

Look up either of the part numbers anywhere and you'll find the product you need.
Go forth.

Well, some poetic justice dealt to me today. Despite a weather forecast showing only a 20% chance of rain, I caught a drizzle on the way to the office, and an absolutely torrential downpour on the way home. And to think I had just washed/clay-barred/waxed - the works! But on a positive note, the wipers actually work!

Default Wiper blade reccomendations?

I like the look of the more modern blades and bought non OEM but not the cheapest. However they do not follow the curve of the windscreen at the very end on the right side as many have mentioned. However I notice no difference in the functionality.

I wish someone would make this easy. So many part numbers and dead links. All I want is true OEM, not OEM equivalent, not OEM replacement. I'm usually pretty good with parts and part numbers. Whatever I bought last time appeared to be OEM, installed like OEM, but only lasted maybe 6 months. Is this really the proper number 3397001582? I could give two ****s about cost, just want true OEM quality.

I bought these two years ago for my 997.2 GTS and they are OEM. Aero blade for driver's side and proper curvature for the passenger side.
