They should have had the center locking wheels!

I bet the front discs supported the car while the rear wheels were removed so they are all toast.

Thank you - glad to be wrong (but I didn't see any lug bolts and I thought the Turbo S came standard with CL's). About the only comfort I get from CLs is believing they are a good theft deterrent.

BTDT...had it happen to a then-new Nissan 240SX coupe in 1989 in an underground parking lot with electronic gate access in Puerto Rico. Fortunately mine was left on 4 blocks. One call to Tire Rack (and another to my insurer) and I was back on the road a few days later.

Man, that poor owner. That just sucks.

CLs may be a deterrent to the amateur wheel thief, but if that's what I was doing as a career I'd have a compressor in my cargo van and one of those F1 airguns with the nut socket and would be done with all 4 wheels in all of 30 seconds.

Bet he puts some wheel locks on with the next set, probably 5 different ones per wheel.

Wheel locks are only a deterrent. If a thief really wants your wheels, he/she'll get them.

The locks will only buy you time.

There's been a rash of thefts at my office garage. One of our paralegals had her windows smashed in and her belongings in the car taken away. I try to park as far away from sheeple as possible to avoid door dings and other "oopsies", but perhaps I should stop driving in for now ...

There's nothing I can do about it. The garage has taken to stepping up foot patrols, but I doubt that's enough to deter some of the thefts from happening. The problem is, the stairwell is accessible to anyone who can sneak past the entrance.

I park on the 12th floor (the roof), underneath a surveillance camera, so at least, if anyone tries to steal or break into my car, I will (hopefully) have recorded footage of it.

If I were at my old job, I would have been able to keep tabs on my car from my office window since we didn't have a multi-story parking lot.
