Rebadging thoughts appreciated
I am rebadging to 911S from Carrera S. Switching from silver letters to Black on the 911 with a S in red.
Last night I debadged the car and quickly taped the new badges on, they are not centered but are about right top to bottom. Again this was just to get a look at them. However after looking at them I don't think I am sold on the S in red. So I used my no talent skills and did a terrible job of rendering the S in black. Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Black "S" looks best, I think.
Off topic - Ever gotten in trouble for your tinted taillamps? I got one of my friends out of some traffic court and insurance trouble when he rear-ended someone in a newer Honda Accord with black tinted taillamps and CHMSL. We argued that because the other guy's taillights were tinted black (they were basically opaque from the pictures my buddy took after the accident), they were hard to see.

The red makes a bystander take a second look. I was at a light in Culver City and an attractive car like yours was next to me.
As it pulled away the quick glance of red S made me a bit more respectful.

I'd skip the S. It throws off the balance.
But what do I know. I took mine off and just drive around naked.

Well I figured this was going to happen. No majority........except only 1 Red vote so I think it will all be black. Now to decide S or no S. I did have just the 911 on it and it looks good....but I do like have the S on it too, adds a little flair to just the 911.
Also what do you think on centering....center 911 and add S where it should go or center the whole badge as one?
Carmichael - I have only recently added the tinted led lights. However they are pretty bright even though they are tinted. I'll post some pics of the lit up when I get a chance. I'm not too worried unless I get in an accident as there are a lot of people in my city running around with much darker lights then I have on mine.
Thanks guys.....looks like I will be painting the S tonight. I have the original S which is slightly larger then this one.....might paint it and see how it looks.

I feel like "911" by itself works. The four tailpipes say "S".
My brother just ordered a 2016 Turbo S (I tagged along to help with options). When it came to badging, we settled on "911" alone. Straightforward, simple, universally recognized. As they say, if you can't tell it's a Turbo, then...

I am going to make the possibly politically incorrect argument that debadging should primarily be used to hide the true vehicle identity to lessen the chance of theft. I believe this is more common in high theft areas and some larger cities in Europe. There is always the chance of a purist will expect the correct badging and anything else will lessen the value. Personally, I have debadged several of my cars, a BMW and a Subaru, but no Porsches.
