Tough decision.
Left is basically what I'm going to do to my car eventually (love the subtle red accents on a black car).
Right is pretty loud. It's not just a stripe or even a two-tone stripe. It's almost a full racing livery. The blue and red could be your primary accent colors. And IMO I think the blue clashes a bit with the red on the wheels. I could go either way on that. But, realize there is gold surrounding the MARTINI lettering and no gold anywhere else on the car to balance. So, that does upset the color balance a bit. In essence, it looks like a Martini livery wrap was slapped on a black car with red accents instead of being designed or styled that way from the start if that makes sense.
What would I drive? Left for sure.
I asked a design buddy of mine who is helping me with my car and he added that adding a side panel/door stripe would balance everything.
Something like this:
nwGTS - completely agreed with your comment. I also the side stripes already but don't want to put it up yet as it does seem a bit too "heavy". I will probably plastic dip the wheels to red or gold and see how it goes, and decide if I should go with the side stripe instead.
Gonzo - haha, I suddenly decided to go with the louder version because I will most likely doing more track days this year. So this is like her prom dress
Martini livery only belongs on a white or silver car. It just looks wrong on black. The car on the right is way too busy, and shouts "Hey, look at me", abit too much boy racer. On a silver or white car it would look a little toned down and serve as an homage to the Martini race cars past and present.
Is this for a road car? Daily driver or mostly street driving??
I'm in the camp of neither, but that doesn't answer your question so I would go with the left.
Having a big *** decal on the car advertising for a brand that you don't get paid for seems silly to me. If you want to replicate a race car, do it on a race car, not a sports car driven on the street.
