Let's see your 997 with black or other colored stone guards
Thinking about getting black stone guards for my Atlas Gray 997 Targa 4 and am wondering what other 997's look like with black or other colored stone guards. Please share your pics!

If you're considering this appearance mod, stay away form the magnetic type as they will fly off during spirited driving unless they are perfectly attached. I lost two and finally permanently replaced the clear ones that yellow with time.

I'd recommend buying the "Speedster Black Stone Guards" from Suncoast Porsche because they are extra thick with a textured surface that sort of gives them a matte black color. I bought some simple black vinyl stone guards initially and they were paper thin and tough to apply without getting wrinkles. They definitely weren't going to actually protect against rocks. I ended up tearing them off and replacing them with the ones from Suncoast.

These are carbon fiber magnetic...saw the comment about them flying off during spirited driving, but these are good to 142mph on California Speedway by yours truly. $75/set.....sorry about the sideways picture but this is from my iPhone.

BTW, I'll be out in Asheville in mid-Sep, then Chapel Hill after. Going to tour the area for a couple of weeks. (Stationed at Ft Bragg for several years back in mid-60s.)

I will try to grab one later. With the atlas it's really hard to see. My exhaust tips are black as is my front lip spoiler. Hard to tell in pics or in person. It definately looks better than clear at least on my car with the other black pieces
