drive the car (front or rear), up on 1 or 2 layers of 2x8 boards, I keep 4 short pieces of PT 2x8 in the garage. Then you can get any jack under the lift points. I have 2 hockey pucks on my jack cups, they work perfectly. After you break the lug bolts and jack the car up off the boards, take one boards and lay it between the jack scissor so it cant fall. you can let the jack loose if you want to leave it up for a period of time. the only time I put the stands under the car is if I want to do all front and rear

Not the cheapest way to go, but mine have worked flawlessly on all types of cars for over 10 years. They will most likely out live me.
