Default How many miles on your 997.1

My 2008 C4S just hit the 85,000 mile mark. It's my DD and I put about 75-100 miles on her - 5 days a week. Almost all the miles are highway miles. No better way to get to work! All is well with the car, no issues so far.

How are people doing with higher mileage cars?

Default 60K plus miles with scored bore

2006 C2 with 96500km or 60350 miles with a TIC when hot, and TOC when is cold; most likely from scored bore but not absolutely sure.

it burns 1 liter of oil 0W-40 oil about every 1200-1400km, and it does not smoke. we know the end game, but I very much like to hear others with the similar issue and your mileage please.

it runs great at this time with no leaks. I added a bottle of SLICK50 recharge high mileage additive and it got quieter.

Check your waterpump

70,649 miles here - incredible reliable daily driver - 1 issue in 6 years - the coolant leaked over the weekend.

Just turned 19K on my 07. I have put 2500 miles on it since I bought it. 350 to the track - probably another 100 on the track - and another 350 back home.

I had to run out for milk yesterday. I put 75 miles on it yesterday evening. LOL!

If it's the original one, replace it now and every 50-60k miles.

46k on my supercharged '05 C2S
68k on my wife's DD '05 C2S

Only failures in either were her water pump in the low 60s and hers had the starter harness cable slow start issue.

41K - Original water pump.

I thought the water pump thing was mainly a 996 issue based on dealership maint stats? Many 996 failures, but few 997.1 ?
