I remember the Pcar "delivery" day. Surpassed in excitement only by the birth of a child; maybe a wedding day, though I recall equal parts anxiety and excitement on the wedding day.

That's funny, as I too fly to Houston tomorrow to pick up my first P car and drive it back to Dallas. I can't think of a better way to get to know a car then buy it and take a road trip! Its a 07 997.1 CS4.

I just did the same thing back in Sept. Flew to Nashville from DC and then drove the car back. Most exciting drive I have every made. Literally looked at the car -- love at first sight -- and since the PPI was already completed, signed the papers and was out the door. Didn't know how to work anything, least of which the NAV but jumped in and took off deciding i would just figure it out.
Man, still makes me smile...enjoy every bit of it. PS, most fun was on the Highway on ramps...i remember saying to myself, "this thing is stupid fast." Share your pics, here is mine.
