Default Porsche Sport Design Steering Wheel

I was sitting in my 997 the other day and the steering wheel felt very familiar. Coincidence?

Porsche does borrow a lot of things from VW and my wife's Passat wheel feels exactly like it. It's fun to have a "sports car feeling" steering wheel on a station wagon.

Don't forget that P-cars are VW based. They still cooperate by sharing suppliers.

VW does have good steering wheels in their sport models. Too bad Porsche can't steal the cloth Recaro buckets from the GTi, damn those things are good. Amazing that the base seats in a $25k hatchback are substantially better than those in a $100k Porsche.
