Default Is this badge stock?

This is a 2009 S, I don't remember ever seeing this badge. Did someone add it after market?

Maybe a 991 lettering. Not original to the 997. Easy to swap back to stock if you like.

well my 67 has the same lettering too

The funny thing is they got the kerning all wrong. The letters are more spaced out on the 991 and older models.

I was thinking that this could indicate prior damage to the deck lid and then rebadge after they fixed it?

I concur, not stock.

The "PORSCHE" letters also look to be taller than the letters on a 991. It's hard to tell without knowing the height measurement, but I'd say they look similar to the engine lid letters from my 914.

The "911 S" is also setup different from stock as the tail of the "S" terminates under the last "1" a bit as it's a taller letter. They've spaced it further away here.
