Another Aftermarket Radio Question++ Double DIN Kit
Has anyone used this kit before: http://www.ebay.com/itm/997-987-Mode...eccc01&vxp=mtr
Any comments good or bad on it? I'm capable of installing my own radio but want to go about it the most cost efficient and easiest for me way to do it and still achieve factory looking results. I'm trying to narrow down the head unit options next... Pioneer vs Kenwood vs Alpine.

Thats for a car without the Bose system. Or if you have Bose, you will have to disable it and reroute speaker wires. If ypu have Bose and want to keep it, Nav-TV is the only option. But if you have sports chrono you will lose those display and you will lose the trip computer displays regardless, if you go aftermarket. There are many threads on this. I kept the OEM head, used Nav-TV to add satellite radio and previous owner has added parrot bluetooth already. So I can do handsfree calls.

Good points. I did forget to mention I have the non-Bose, non-Nav stock setup. I was debating on upgrading to the bluetooth capability and keeping stock unit, but after seeing what the new headunits can do (DVD playback, Nav, Bluetooth, Sat radio, better sound quality, Pandora & ipod interface, etc.) I think I want to fork out the $ for an aftermarket. I've been reading tons of old posts about the units and preferences and am aware of the sport chrono features lost. I just liked the thought of being able to plug back in my stock unit when I sell the car down the road and pull the aftermarket out rather easily to resell. The "kit" seemed to be the way to go for that. just trying to decide if it's worth >$100 for a kit that I can essentially make for myself with a little effort.

Thanks for the info. I just checked out Eurospeed's kit. To be honest the 2 kits appear exactly the same. The difference is the Autoware one on eBay one is $149 and Eurospeed's is $249. I don't see a difference, am I missing something?
