Default Center Console Outlet Not Working

So i needed to have my car pulled out of the garage while I was out of town. I had my mother go over and pull it out. She didn't notice the super long wire coming out of the passenger side of the car (the Porsche battery maintainer) and continued to whip the car out.

When I got back to town I noticed she didn't bother to unplug the maintainer as the wire was actually cut from the force of the car pulling away. Since then i threw some wire nuts on the charger to reconnect the wires- no luck, the charger wasn't working. Went ahead and bought another one off eBay- no luck. Tried plugging a iPhone charger in there- no luck. I have come to the conclusion that there must be something wrong with the outlet.

Any ideas? Cost to repair this? Thanks for the support.

Depending on where the break was in the wire you may have created a short that popped the wall breaker. Plug a light or radio or something into the wall to check the outlet.

If the short was on the car side (it could have been on both sides) and you are plugged into the cigarette lighter you may have popped a fuse in the car.

I suspect the car.

It is definitely on the car side... the shop vac works in the wall outlet.

Also, the fact that neither battery maintainer, nor the iphone car charger worked leads me back to the car.

I have been doing more research this evening and starting to think maybe a fuse...

would the outlet inside the console be A8 or A10 in the diagram https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...se-layout.html ?

Looks like A8 is the outlet under the glove box while A10 is the lighter plug in the ash tray.

I replaced a receptacle in the footwell on my MY2010 once. Pretty easy. I assume it’s a similar experience at the console. Google, internet, and these forums are your friends.
