Default Porsche 997 4S 1/4 mile POV video

Last day of the season test n tune. We went with a friend to test his EVO and of course I could not miss the opportunity to make a pass or two myself...

Car is a 09 Carrera 4S launch edition with 20k miles. The only two things changed are BMC reusable filters and AWE x-over pipes. 93 octane always and I weighted the car at 3705 lbs with me in it on the track's scale.

For the record I had 1.86 60ft and just above 90mph on the 1/8.

Wow, a 12.1 is very impressive in a C4S.

Not bad but you need to work on your reaction time. Next time, don't wait for the green - go on the last yellow.

Says something that customers get times that are comparable to what the test mags report... 12 seconds flat is what I've read for the C4S 09 (PDK) and I've read a few tenths higher for the 6MT...

Anyone run a manual car in the quarter to confirm?

I was running on my 18s on the NT01s. But I never had traction issues.

On the stock wheels with Michelin SS I was cutting in the 1.70 range

I really want to start the car with just a roll out not on the launch control. I think under certain circumstances the car will leave faster...

Yea I just noticed its a 4S, so tires shouldn't be too much of a factor. 1.70 is great. I'm curious to know what kind of 60 ft times the RWD guys are cutting.
