Default Replacing Coolant / Engine Temp Sensor in 2005 997 C2S

I'm going to renew the engine temp sensor in my '05 C2S, which checks the temp of the coolant. The replacement came with a new metal washer but I was wondering if I need to treat the threads with anything when installing the sensor, like Teflon tape, high-temp gasket silicone, or something else in order to prevent leaks through the threads. I didn't know if the sensor threads needed to make contact with the metal housing it's screwed into for the sensor to work correctly.

Thanks.

The little washer is all you'll need, don't use anything on the threads.

It's just like an oil drain plug, metal crush washer only, nothing on the threads.
