its not like i am being verbose, or is it...sorry if i overfocus, of which i am aware... you should see me when i have something to say, and am sure i am right...again, sorry, and i knew before i even started these threads that what i needed to do was exactly what you suggested...get a set and try 'em on...just thought i might get lucky and come across someone who had been there and done that...

Unfortunately, the wheels I have are from the early 997.1 cars--model years 2005-2008 Carrera cars. The 996 cars had slightly different offsets I suspect. Like recommended, do a dry fit check before you bother to mount a tire. Check both fronts and rears as offsets vary. Don't proceed if it is close as you just don't want to run the risk of a wheel binding on a brake caliper.
