BTW, mine is a 2010 4S, if that matters. I do not have Nav or satellite.
Forgive the capitalization above. I copied it directly from my screen.

Go to INFO via the button under the PCM. Press the OPTION button on the right side. Select SET PCM system. Select Display. Select System version. Mine is V1.47 and was installed about two months ago as the dealer was trying (unsuccessfully) to delete previous phones from my Bluetooth. I suspect this is close to the latest version, but I don't know.

I made a post over on 6speed here back in January of this year: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...date-info.html. Let me know if you have trouble accessing this and I'll attempt to repost it here.
The PCM software version I have is 2.24 which was the latest available at that time. The first post of the above-mentioned thread shows part of what you want to know, the details of the updates I listed in post #5 of that same thread. I think there is a new update each year in the December/January time frame... at least for maps.... but the updates I describe had much more than that.

Not trying to be negative, but it makes me wonder why a Porsche dealer would sell that car CPO for that price. Porsche dealers are not known to leave thousands of dollars on the table. Hope it checks out for you, but please make sure you get a PPI by an independent party.

For the OP, I assume StormRune answered your question, better than I could have.

The only thing I would add is that if it's a 2011 it is due for its first Major Service which includes plugs, filters, oil change and injector cleaning. That will be a decent amount of money and I would negotiate that into the deal if it already hasn't been done.

You guys are killin me! I'm working on getting Auto Critic to inspect the car, the 20K service is done and I talked to Plano Porsche's service Mgr and he knew the car, the owner and gave me a thumbs up on the car. I'm doing everything I can to ensure the car is as advertised.

Sounds like you're in great shape! We're just a helpful bunch... Since the car is a CPO they will have taken care of any near-term service that is needed as part of the prep for that, it is one of the CPO requirements.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Appreciate that we are all jealous of this deal you have come upon. And happy for you while at the same time we are wondering what this means to the value of our own cars. Doesn't matter. Mine gets buried with me!
Get the car. Drive the car. Life is about to get much much better!
And post pictures. No one around here is going to believe this is real otherwise.

And I appreciate every post! That's why I became a member.
I got down the road on one other car and during my due diligence I found out the car wasn't as advertised and I bailed on the deal. I will be very disappointed if this doesn't play out the way I hope.

Auto Critic will be doing the PPI today. Will let you guys know what he comes up with. He said that he knew the Tim at Plano so he would give him a call as well about the car. Fingers crossed!

The PPI is back and all is well! There a few cosmetic issues that Park Place was taking care of and everything else checked out. Matt at Auto Critic was great. When he got there the car was on the lift being serviced, making his job a bit easier. He communicated well on everything he saw in his report and believes that the car was never driven hard. With 20k miles, the original brake pads have more then 50% life left. I will post some pictures from Matt's report. Thanks again for all the feedback! Looking forward to being a 911 owner.
