Focusing on the budget, you could also look at the base 997.2 Carrera. As much power as the 997.1 "S" plus the upgrades, and you can install PSE inside your number. Or if you are lucky a base with PSE might be out there.

I've seen them at that price. Salvage, heavily damaged cars that need $60k+ of work... (so, pre-repaired cars)

My point was simply that you can see sub $60k 997.2 carrera s cars with low mileage out there, but some of those will be salvage vehicles, etc... kinda like my search showed, the pickings are extraordinarily slim...

Oh, and I admit that $60k for a heavily damaged F430 might be a good buy if someone has the patience / ability to sell the parts...
