Default 200 cell cat

I have a 2006 C2S and here's my exhaust story

I do not have PSE so I first started with gundos which were great but not loud enough. A few months ago found a really good deal on fabspeed bypass pipes with car chemistry baffles which is what I have on the car right now. The loudness on throttle is perfect. Tons of burbles on lift off and I love driving inside parking garages =). Drone on the freeway is tolerable because it is as loud as road noise from the tires anyway. I can live with the bypass valves but I just got a good deal on AWE 200 cell cats so I am going to try those with the gundo and see if that gives me the best of both world. Loud exhaust with burbles with no drone.

I can do the mufflers quickly but looking underneath the car, those cats seem harder to swap out. Is it an easy in and out and back in if I want to revert back to stock cat + bypass valves?

by the way this is a really good deal for pipes and S tips. OEM S tips alone are worth more than that. I have no affiliation but while shopping I came across this. Would have bought them if I didn't already have bypass valves and S tip

I installed 200cell cats on my car and it only took about an hour per pipe max. Make sure you have a ratcheting wrench. It helps a ton!! Also a few u-joints will make things go easier as well.

I wrote a review of the NHP 200cell cats and have install notes in there as well. Make sure to unplug the O2 sensors before you do anything else!!

Awesome! I found your instructions there. Seems like a bit of work but easy enough DIY. Didn't know I'd have to muck around in the engine bay

Don't live in CA, lol!

Seriously, I have no idea. Hopefully someone else with some experience will chime in.

Unfortunately no. I'm in MN and we are getting snow tonight. The car will be in the garage most of the winter.

I'm using VRTuning right now. When Vivid and Softronic split, VRTuning ran a group buy / sale. The price at the time was far below what you could find anywhere else. Otherwise I would have gone with Softronic given their longer history tuning Porsches.

You should write a review of the VRtuning tune. I was interested when the price was nice and low but couldn't find any reviews of a non-turbo tune.

I'm lowered on Bilstein damptronics and wanted to be certain any upgraded headers would not stick down below the engine and hit anything while driving. That meant OEM X51's or a respectable clone.

The NHP headers are very close to the X51 design. I would definitely consider them and in fact did at one point. I started by looking for used X51's but like Bigfoot they were nowhere to be found. I then ordered a set of NHP's because they where a few hundred dollars cheaper than new OEM X51's. But unfortunately at the time, the NHP's were back ordered. Fabspeed's were more expensive than new OEM X51's so they were ruled out. So I ended up buying new X51's.

Here are photos of Fabspeeds installed from a couple different perspectives. This exhaust has their ValveValvetronic mufflers, 200 cell X-pipe cats, and their headers. Tips are RUF, not Fabspeed and exit through the bumper, but the Fabspeed tips are great looking.
