I keep my car looking good
( clay bar, Zymol HD cleanse, zymol carbon wax) but it has never been professionally detailed or machine polished. I have no visible swirls or scratches and it has a nice shine but I'm wondering if my ten year old car needs a deep polishing to really bring out the finish to like new. Would my paint benefit from a professional detail treatment ?

Doesn't sound like it is needed to me. But you can try the plastic test to see if the paint is really clean.
If you don't know the test... When the car is clean and dry, put your hand in a sandwich bag (the thinner the plastic the better, so avoid a freezer bag). If the bag slides easily over the paint, then it is very clean. No need for mechanical polishing.

10 years old? You have a ton of scratches and swirls. It's inevitable. You just need the right light to see 'em. A professional paint correction will look amazing. Shine and color.

Wow! You work fast. Congrats. Nothing better than professionally fully corrected paint.
Sounds like you take great care of your car. It should last you a couple/few years with good washing & drying techniques. Enjoy.

s u p e r cheap. A 2-3 stage paint correction on a 911 can easily be $600 and up.

Why not pick up a Dual Action polisher, a few pads and polishes, and give it a go yourself next time? It's very gratifying to see it polished to the nines by your own hands. You likely need a yearly polish on a DD, and you can use the DA for waxes.
