Default Price Check 09 Carrera

Hey Guys,

A car just came up about two hours away from me. I have not seen pictures but its an 09 with 41000 miles in Metallic Blue-stone gray, has Pasm and sport Chrono and I'm not sure what else. Even better its a CPO car so it'll have 2 years of warranty.
Asking price is 47,900. This one clicks off all the boxes for me particularly since it avoids the IMS engined cars. Do you think 44-45k would be a worthwhile deal?

Price looks good, but that's a shot in the dark on the pricing if you haven't seen the car in pictures, what's the history on it, what options are on the car, condition, maint records, etc.

That sounds like a GREAT deal...especially if it's CPO...the description sounds exactly like my car (exterior/interior color, mileage) except I don't have PASM or Sport Chrono.

I paid $55k about a year ago (CPO with 31k miles back then), and my car didn't have PASM or Sport Chrono. So I would say that price is great. Especially I haven't seen many below 50k mile CPO cars under $50k, even when browsing a few weeks ago. For that price it makes me wonder if it has some history on carfax....doesn't hurt to check...

I saw a car last night that sounded like this one. It had a Salvage Title. At this price I would tread carefully and do your homework. If it sounds too good to be true ...

Seems priced well to me. Options mean a lot more to rennlisters then the general Porsche buyer. I talked to a guy once that had an aftermarket NAV installed and he didn't even realize it. LOL.

I think it is a Carrera not a Carrera S so the asking price seems to be realistic.

Sounds good, but remember that just because it is a CPO doesnt mean it is a completly straight car. There is a little room for interpretation on what qualifies for CPO, so the dealer can be "creative" and approve a car. Just get a PPI. Options do mean a a lot to finicky buyers/owners.

There's no way they would CPO a salvage title so probably safe there. That said, due diligence is certainly called for as it seems a little low to me for even for a non-S. Maybe the option list is fairly lean, which may work just fine for OP since it brings the price down. Maybe you have just found a great deal! It certainly deserves an in-person inspection with someone literate on these cars.

I'm pretty sure this car popped up in my autotrader search a few days ago, the free Autocheck shows no accidents and shows that it was sold as CPO back in 2011 as well.

Yes, its one of the best priced 09+ CPO cars, and if the PPI checks out it could be a good deal.

Prices have come down for the end of year and the start of winter.

Great deal. Go for it if PPI checks out.

Is this it? Looks like a solid deal but go check it out in person.

Hey Thanks for all the great feedback! Yes streetrod that's exactly it, an I drove it today and got the whole story of the prior owner and its a legit car. Now it's not loaded with options but it has the exact ones I care about and none of the ones I dont I think this is the one!
