Default question about pricing

how much is too much for a clean 08 c4s with low miles? KBB, Edmund, and NADA prices does not reflect real world pricing for trade, private, and retail value. What amount would you guys consider to be a steal and what amount is on the high side?

TIA

For you to claim that KBB, Edmunds, and NADA prices do not reflect real world prices for a trade in, private or retail sale you must then have some idea of what the real/true numbers are. Use those numbers.

Tried not to laugh, but couldn't help myself.

I bought my 2008 C4S with 20100 miles and CPO package. I paid $62k (then tax, lic, etc etc). The previous owner kept it garaged and it has never seen the rain. I keep it garaged and drive my Boxster when it rains. New, it listed at $132k (with a LOT of options).

I bought my 2008 911 Carrera 4S three months ago. I actually went in to replace my current Boxster with a new one, was going to order one, but our salesman was busy. So the wife and I walked around the lot and they had a beautiful 911 Carrera Cab S with 35k miles, no CPO but costing $58K. One of the other sales guys asked if we wanted to drive it, my wife told me go for it. He gave us the keys and said go get lunch and where there was a really good twisty road, and come back whenever. We came back about 2 hours later with huge smiles and some adrenalin still running through us. Our sales guy came out and said if we interested in that model, to follow him. We walked through the shop and into the detailing area where 5 guys, no joke, 5 guys, were polishing, waxing, etc, the Carrera Cab 4S. It had just come in and hadn't even made it to the lot yet. Owner bought it from that dealership, had all the maintenance done at the dealership, even did the 60K service because it had been over 5 years. He never drove except in sunny weather, pretty much drove with his wife in their Cayenne. They turned in both cars, the 911 and Cayenne and bought a tricked out Macan.
Price was $65k, I talked them down to $62k and then they told me it was CPO with the full factory warranty. Done. Only regret.....I should have bought the Cayenne for my wife, because after driving the 911, she says her Acura MDX seems a little slow.......
So now I drive the 911 on sunny days and my old Boxster on rainy days.

Edmunds lists private sale value of my 03 Turbo at $38,144. Retail sale is $41,281.

Since the car has had good servicing and has several things recently done: RMS (at which time tech and I confirmed clutch disc had no measurable wear), water pump, spoiler, idler rollers/tensioner, spark plugs and front brakes, I'll let you have it for the retail sale price of $41,281.
