I exchanged some friendly emails today with the GM at the dealership. The story is funny, at least to me and I suspect to others who have worked in the world of manufacturing/production. They actually had the oil on hand. They had a unit-of-use issue in their parts inventory. They have 1 case of oil on hand and had it in the inventory as 1 quart. They offered to come and pick my car up, change the clutch oil, and return the car to my home.

Understandable, and it sounds like the dealer is trying to make it right.

So, would you let somebody else drive your car?

I'll take it back over to them, but they drive it anyway as part of service so I don't see it as a big deal if they come and get it.

When they come and get it, the driver will be the young kid that empties the trash. Just saying!

Dont make it difficult for our bro. Im sure the dealer is trying to make it up and they wont bungle it up by sending someone who might make things worse. What i would do, mike, is ask for something to make up for the lost time you incurred like maybe a free oil change on your next maintenace or somehting like that. Tell theme you will bring it in, but make it up some other way..just a suggest. Tell us how the pdk oil change went

Want to correct my earlier post on this thread (some may have seen my error but too polite to call me on it?) I had the CLUTCH OIL changed & 40k miles! The Pdk Ttranny FLUID IS RECOMMENDED @ 120k miles which I will do @ 80k If I still have the car. Sorry for any confusion!
