Since the 911 997.2 Black Edition receives serial number, letīs track where they are!
Mine is number 0751 (from 1911 Black Edition cupes), and is in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

A+ for Porsche marketing team, take a base 911, give it no color, add a badge and give it a special name. Sorry couldn't resist.

Actually, the Black Edition has over $10K in add ins built in to the base model pricing. This included "standard" items such as Turbo II Wheels, a Bose audio system, Navigation, etc. I agree it is gimmicky, but there is more to it than the badge on the dash.

why would he do that? I was just there in early Sept. Love the dry heat, perhaps a bit limiting for some daytime outdoor activities, but I'd take it.

Summer=a 7am tee time then hit the pool in the afternoon, but right now we have highs in the upper 80's and not a cloud in sight for the next 10 days.

Pulled into a lunch spot in my neighborhood and spotted a Black Edition Cab. Top was down so I could see the badge number was 568. Considering 1911 were made, and according to Car & Driver approx 500 were sold outside of Europe, I thought it was cool to see another one. I also spotted a BE Coupe in these parts last year.
