Hi Guys...New 997S Owner

I need a winning lottery ticket.
Very impressive. I love engine ****.
I also love spending money vicariously.
I'd be in there helping. But they would probably charge more.
$150/hr shop time
$175/hr if you watch
$225/hr if you help
$250/hr if you've worked on the car previously yourself

Like the title says I'm new to the 997S. The car is a Chrono Sport. I'm not new to Porsche....I just sold my 1999 C4 Aero over the weekend and this will be my 4th 911. The new car is currently at Flat6 in line for a 4.0 big bore. While I wait for the car I plan on hoarding parts
Anyways just wanted to say hey..I'm looking forward to the forum.

Thanks! I really miss that car......well I miss all of them. Flat6 did crank it over yesterday. The used GT3 82mm throttle body is giving some issues, at least that what Flat6 is thinking. They are swapping it out with another one and will soon have an update.

The TB swap was the ticket. Now the testing will begin on Monday with dyno Tuesday with a possible tune after that. This is getting close to coming home!

Wellll..........on it's 1st pull without a tune RWHP came in at 311 with torque at the wheels of 281. Late last week and finishing today Flat6 wrote several tuning files. As of today she stands at 327 RWHP with a torque at 280. Tomorrow is an invasive inspection and if all is good the next move for the car is home.
Can't wait to drive it!

It was a 997.1S stock 3.8 with 20,000 miles. Also the numbers shown in the graphs are taken at the wheels. I'm not smart enough to figure the HP at the motor but the numbers at the wheels are what count.

Ha no kiddin'..the drama. The car actually gets loaded today and delivered May 7. The lead-time is nutty but after 9 Months and 27 days and 11 hours and 10 minutes and 32 seconds (who's counting ) the car will be here!
